  1. I did that course a couple of weeks ago too on Sam haha.
Not ridden Solo in so long, I always found her difficult. You ride her much better than me.

  2. Yep, on this day Solo obviously had her oats in the morning.

You did well on Sam. Only rode her once (I think...). She never seems to be available when I go.

  3. I've ridden her quite a bit recently, but I was told the yard managers niece part owns her with the school but she lives in Fife and has recently broken her hand... so she's been more available.
She's quite temperamental though haha. I was jumping her on Monday and I had 3 refusals and she tried to throw me off 3 times (she succeeded once).

Will you try and lease one of the ponies later this year?
I'm hoping to but i'll see.

Hope you don't mind me following your blog, i found it a while ago by accident!

  4. Not sure I'll lease any. It really depends on who's available. Last year I was very close to lease Cloud. Loved him to bits.

As to the blog, feel free to follow and comment! :-)

I'm always up for a good discussion about horses and horse-riding...

Even though I have not updated it a lot lately as I've not been riding that much...

  5. I know shame about Cloud :( Why didn't you lease him in the end? I would lease Sam in a heart beat if I could, but I also have a lot of love for Barney, Regent and Rupert (love his cheekiness, he's such a stud).

    We shall see!
I only ride on Mondays - sometimes a Tuesday but not that often.

  6. Wellllll... good question. The make the lease cost effective you need to ride at the very least 3 times per week, which would be only ok if I had the horse for the weekends and fridays. But in the end, myself and the Mrs just could not agree, I really liked Cloud, she was not so keen on him and since it would be for both of us... :-)

I do like Rupert. He is a sneaky one, you should see him in the Common Rides, he just flies like the wind, never saw his little legs move so fast... he also has quite a temper. In Biggar we ended with a large clear area around us as, all the other horses were afraid of being kicked by him...

Regent is something quite unique in the school. If I could buy a horse these days, it would be him! (hope no one else reads this and gets the idea! :-) )
